HOW-TO PAGE -  WEB SITE BUILDER
 

In order to move the content from your old website to your new Website Builder tool, we suggest that you visit your current website on the Internet and follow these simple steps:

Important Note:  If you publish your new web-pages before you copy all the information over, you will loose all information contained in your old/current website.  Please, do not publish the new pages until you are finished copying. 

•     With your website showing in one browser window, open the Website Builder tool in a second browser window.  With these two windows open, you will be able to simply copy the sections of information that you wish from your website and paste that information into the Website Builder window in the place where you wish the information to appear. 
   

•     To do this, place the cursor in one corner next to any of the written portions of your site and hold down the left mouse button.  Drag the mouse cursor until you have highlighted all of the text you wish to copy and then release the mouse button.  With the cursor sitting over the text you have highlighted, click the right mouse button and select “copy”.  Switch to the window with the Website Builder tool open in it, select the area on the page where you wish the information to go.  Then click on the right mouse button and select “paste”.  This will transfer the information you selected from the current website to the new Website Builder tool.  Repeat this process for all the text elements (all the written parts, but not the pictures) that you wish to move to your new website. 
   

•      For pictures, please hold the cursor over the image that you wish to copy and click the right mouse button.  Select “copy” and then go to the Website Builder page.  Select the correct area on the new webpage where you wish to place the photo.  Click on the right mouse button again and select “paste”. 
   

•      This can be done for all text and picture elements of ever page of your site.  Repeat the above procedures until you have copied all valid information to your new web-pages in the Website Builder tool.  Be sure to save each page after pasting your information into them and save them with the same file names you had used before.
   

•      Any other elements such as .mov files or flash content will need to be uploaded directly through the Website Builder.  Simply select the location to place the info into and upload the file.  You may choose to upload your photos directly to the Website Builder in order to maintain a better quality on the images.
